Air Kenya pilots and engineers are highly trained at Flight Safety International, undergoing annual refresher and simulator training in Toronto, Canada, and Kansas, USA. Over 15 of our pilots have progressed to Captain roles with leading international carriers such as Kenya Airways, Emirates, British Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and the royal fleets of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

John Kimondo

Group CEO

For 15 years, John has provided his financial and aviation expertise to the AirKenya group, 10 of which he served as Chief Financial Officer before transitioning to Commercial Director and now Group CEO. His dedication to excellence in all aspects of the business will launch the group of airlines to greater heights.

Captain Dino Bisleti

Technical Director

With more than 19,000 flight hours to date and over 40 years of working in the aeronautical sector, Captain Dino knows that excellence in aviation is built on quality and professional service. Born in Italy, his career spans scheduled airlines, global charters (Middle East, Europe, America), and specialized photomapping across Africa—including certification on Learjets. As Technical Director for AirKenya, Aerolink, and Regional Air, he deftly balances his operational responsibilities across all three airlines.

Captain James Mureithi

Head of Operations

A seasoned aviation professional with 24 years of experience and 11,700 flying hours across global regions, Captain James has spent 16 years with AirKenya developing unmatched institutional knowledge. A FAA-licensed commercial/instrument pilot trained at Maxwell Flying Center (Alabama), he admits he “lives and breathes aeroplanes”. His tenure at AirKenya has meant an intrinsic knowledge of the business that made him the perfect fit for Head of Operations, running the fleet management and cabin crew teams, crew training, and flight and ground operations.

A fully licensed FAA commercial/instrument pilot, James completed his early training at the Maxwell Flying Center in Montgomery Alabama.

Aggrey Kangah

Head of Base Maintenance and Engineering Manager

With 26 years of experience across a variety of fields – from planning to aeronautical certifications. A graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach) and active Kenya Aeronautical Society member, Aggrey champions a philosophy of absolute professionalism. He is dual-licensed (A & C) with ratings across AirKenya's entire fleet - including subsidiaries in Uganda and Tanzania - he ensures operational excellence through meticulous planning and critical decision-making.
